Sometimes, doing nothing is the most productive thing you can do in the moment. The next time you're feeling anxious, frustrated or overwhelmed, try staring out the window or some random point in space. You’ll find that, a few minutes later, your breath will have naturally deepened, restoring some of your calm. Once you're in a better headspace, you'll be more willing to participate in more conscious forms of relaxation - deeper breathing techniques, getting in some yoga, or scheduling some bodywork.
