So, how often should I be getting a massage?
If you win the lottery, every freaking day. The following recommendations are to be used as guidelines, not rules. Only you know what works best for your body, budget and schedule.

Every week:
You have chronic issues affecting day-to-day living. Weekly sessions would be beneficial, until substantial progress is made: pain subsides, range of motion returns, mood lifts. We are more than happy to work with your other care providers (physicians, physical therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, etc) or recommend you to another practitioner if progress seems sluggish. Our goal is to help you feel better as fast as you can.

Every 2-6 weeks:
You want to make massage a regular part of their wellness regimen. Most of the studies showing the benefits of massage are done with a regular sessions of massage over a period of eight weeks or more. Maintaining a supple body and a healthy nervous system is a lot like getting a haircut, a mani-pedi, sending your car in for an oil change, or anything else you do to prevent problems in your life. Practice something positive, regularly,  and it's likely you'll avoid a lot of potential trouble down the line.

Every 7-52 weeks:
You are the epitome of healthy living. You eat right, meditate, go to yoga, pilates, work out, spend lots of time in nature, and pretty much levitate through life. OK. Whether I'm describing you or the model on the cover of this month's Yoga Journal, we're looking forward to seeing you at Mochi whenever you're available to visit!
